It’s not often that a certain card comes into the spotlight due to an error. That, however, is exactly what has happened with the Gum-Gum Lightning card from Emperors in the New World [OP-09]<\/a>, the newest ONE PIECE Card Game set. More than a month after it was first released, an error was discovered on the card, leading to subsequent distributions of the corrected version of the card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About<\/strong> Gum-Gum Lightning (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-077)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although the value of the Gum-Gum Lightning card isn’t all that much right now, the early versions of the card could be in position for a significant price rise soon. This is because the versions of the card containing the error will, of course, never again be reprinted. The first launch of the edited version will be on 12 October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the card does feature Monkey D. Luffy in his iconic Gear 5 form even though he’s not the focus of this card. Although this card isn’t all that rare for now, that will likely change once the edited version of the card becomes more widespread and the original version with the error begins to be phased out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although an English version of Gum-Gum Lightning is on the way, the version with the error will only be in Japanese as the error will be corrected prior to the English release of Emperors in the New World [OP-09].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of an uncorrected version of a Gum-Gum Lightning (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-077) card right now is just 220 JPY (~US$1.50); however, expect this to rise in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
