[Update 10 Feb 2025] More information on the availability of these Illustration Contest cards in other countries is now known. It had already been revealed that the English versions of the cards would be part of the Pok\u00e9mon Day 2025 promotional cards<\/a> to be distributed starting from 27 February 2025 at participating Pok\u00e9mon League events.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, it’s also been confirmed that GameStop stores in the United States will distribute them from the same date; they’ll be bundled with each purchase of US$15 or more on any Pok\u00e9mon products. Each buyer will be limited to one free card in total.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pok\u00e9mon Center’s online stores in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, meanwhile, will start distributing these promotional cards from 21 February. All three cards will be made available as part of a single package. In order for a buyer to receive the cards, the buyer must enter the code “\u201cdraw2024us,\u201d \u201cdraw2024ca,\u201d or \u201cdraw2024uk\u201d according to the relevant country at checkout. After doing so, the 3-card package will be added to the purchase free of charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 23 Oct 2024] It has now been confirmed that the three cards from the Illustration Contest will be released in Japan on 24 March 2025. The cards will come as part of a special 3-card promotional pack that comes bundled with every purchase of a Heat Wave Arena<\/a> booster box from 24 March to a date yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results of the 2024 Pok\u00e9mon TCG Illustration Contest which ran from 12 October 2023 to 31 January 2024 are now in. All three winning entries will be featured on an upcoming promotional Pok\u00e9mon TCG card to be released on a date yet to be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Prize winner was Kazuki Minami, whose illustration featured Pikachu and who has taken home US$5,000 for it. The winner of the Best Standard Card Illustration category was Alicia, who goes by the Instagram handle Acorviart<\/a>; her illustration’s featured Pok\u00e9mon was Feraligatr. Finally, the winner of the Best ex Card Illustration is someone with the online handle “Anderson” who submitted a piece featuring Toxtricity ex. Both Alicia and Anderson received US$3,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six runners-up were named; each took home US$1,000 for their efforts. In addition, 15 entrants received a Judge’s Award and the US$500 that came with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The promotional cards which will feature the winning illustrations will be distributed at Pok\u00e9mon Centers. These distributions are likely to take place not only at the Pok\u00e9mon Centers in Japan but also in the two which are located abroad as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
