After three years, Post Malone brought extra heat to the year’s summer with his fourth studio album “Twelve Carat Toothache”. Even on first listen, it is clear that the rapper’s sound has progressively transformed since his first “Stoney” album \u2014 it’s less crass, more condensed and perhaps even more nuanced in its exploration of the tension Post resists as he straddles between pop and hip hop.<\/p>\n
Regardless, the musician is best known for his ability to blend juxtaposing genres into a median, cohesive sound. His latest album cover’s butterfly graphic is thus an apt motif. With Post Malone reconstructing his identity in the spotlight with every release, he performs a musical metamorphosis of sorts. And in his most recent performance at Tokyo’s 2022 Summer Sonic Festival, his merch collection, too, receives a Japanese artist revamp under the hands of famed artist Verdy.<\/p>\n
Reinterpreting the American singer’s butterfly, the merch collection sees the butterfly vector and “Twelve Carat Toothache” illustrated in the Wasted Youth and Girls Don’t Cry creator’s iconic stylised font. The best way to describe it would be serif with added quirks. The print will be available on Black and White tees, hoodies, caps, and cotton bandana. The shirts retail for US$60, hoodie at US$120, trucker cap at US$45 and bandana at US$20.<\/p>\n
