Known for her bohemian-chic aesthetic, renowned French designer Isabel Marant’s eponymous brand has ventured into the footwear realm with an unexpected partnership with Converse. The collaboration features two designs inspired by the iconic Chuck 70 Ox and Chuck 70 Wedge, promising a unique blend of Marant’s signature style and Converse’s timeless silhouettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blending elements of punk, rock, and bohemian styles, the shoes feature a double-layered upper, composed of frayed cotton and polyester jacquard and a raw-edged canvas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Chuck 70 Ox maintains its classic build, the Wedge version is cleverly disguised to resemble the Chuck 70 Hi while retaining the wedge heel profile inside the shoe body. This approach is a nod to Marant’s significant influence on the wedge shoe trend that swept the fashion world in the 2010s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you think of wedge-heeled sneakers, you think Isabel Marant,\u201d says Brandis Russell, general manager of Converse North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both pairs are completed with multi-colored laces and Isabel Marant branding on the shoe tongues and lateral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Isabel Marant x Converse Chuck 70 collection is slated to launch on 11 September on Isabelmarant.com, Isabel Marant boutiques, and a pop-up at 111 Rue de Turenne in Paris. A wider release will follow on 12 September via Converse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
