[Update 20 Feb 2025] One of two cards with a Manga Rare version from Emperors in the New World [OP-09] to become part of the new Red\/Purple Luffy deck’s build, this card is the deck’s biggest hitter with a massive total Power of 12000; it’s also able to attack on the turn it’s played. In addition, this Shanks card reduces all opposing Character cards’ total Power by 1000 when in play, making it significantly more difficult for the opponent to threaten the deck’s Leader card.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most iconic ONE PIECE Card Game cards of all time is the Manga Rare Shanks card from Romance Dawn [OP-01]<\/a>. Now, another Manga Rare Shanks card has dropped as part of the newly-released Emperors in the New World [OP-09]\u2014and it’s set to be another major pull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Shanks (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-004)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like all Manga Rare cards, this Shanks card bearing the rarity of Super Rare Secret Parallel (SR-SP) is one of the rarest and most valuable of its respective set. On top of that, Shanks is not only a major fan favorite; Emperors in the New World [OP-09] is a set centered on the Four Emperors\u2014the four most powerful pirates within the One Piece universe, of which Shanks is a part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, going back to the earlier mention of the Romance Dawn [OP-01] Manga Rare Shanks card, this card is arguably a call-back to the card from that set. It’s more than likely that this card will draw comparisons to that one and thus attract more buyers as well as collectors who seek to have both versions of the rarest card depicting the captain of the Red Hair Pirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s also the completionist factor to take into account; all four of the Four Emperors are shown on an Emperors in the New World [OP-09] Manga Rare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card’s English version will be out in December 2024 with the rest of Emperors in the New World [OP-09].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of a Shanks (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-004) card of SR-SP rarity is 115,000 JPY (~US$782).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
