[Update 2 Oct 2024] Great news! It looks like the 990v4 isn’t the only Kith x New Balance sneaker on the horizon. New images have revealed a 1000 model in a sleek “Storm Gray” colorway. However, it is their collaborative endeavors that have truly captured the spotlight. Among these esteemed partners, Kith stands out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024 alone, Kith and New Balance have united for multiple projects, including the iconic 580, 1300, and two captivating colorways of the 1906R. Now, Ronnie Fieg has teased the latest installment in this fruitful partnership: a reimagined 990v4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Departing from the vibrant color palettes of previous 990v4 collaborations, such as the United Arrows & Sons project, this new Kith 990v4 embraces a more subdued aesthetic. The pigskin suede upper is rendered in a muted greyish-green hue, adorning the mudguard, eyestays, vamp, and midfoot panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perforated nubuck overlays on the toebox provide a textural contrast, while cream accents on the lace set and N logo piping add a touch of refinement. True to the Kith x New Balance tradition, the upper remains devoid of overt branding, letting the timeless design to take center stage. The 990v4 and MADE in USA logos are discreetly placed on the top of the tongue. Beneath the upper, a cream foam midsole and a tonal rubber outsole finish the look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
