Battle Festa 2015 was a series of Pok\u00e9mon TCG and Video Game Championship (VGC) tournaments held in several locations in Japan in November 2015. It took place in Hiroshima, Yokohama, Osaka, and Nagoya. All participants and organizers received a special promotional Pikachu card; the organizers’ version has gone on to become by far the more valuable of the two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Pikachu (XY-P Promotional Cards 175\/XY-P) <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The bottom-left corner of this card bears the Battle Festa 2015 logo while the icon proving that this card was distributed to event organizers is in the bottom-right corner. As this card was only distributed at four events over a period spanning less than one month, its value is unsurprisingly exceptionally high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that the card was distributed to organizers is notable as well; it’s usually the case that promotional cards linked to events which are distributed to players tend to garner more value. This, however, wasn’t the case with this card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This actually the second of four iterations of this promotional card; it’s the only one of the four with two versions\u2014one for players and one for organizers. The fact that there are multiple versions of this card for players but just one for organizers might be the main reason why the organizers’ version of the card carries a much larger price tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card was never released in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of the organizers’ version of the Pikachu (XY-P Promotional Cards 175\/XY-P) card is truly massive, coming in at 448,000 JPY (~US$3,099)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
