Nike has been subtly marking the 25th anniversary of the Air Max Plus this year by launching several new colorways to celebrate the legendary runner. Building on the model’s signature gradient design, a fresh pair is set to debut in October 2024, combining Wild Mango and Persian Violet hues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally introduced in 1998, the Nike Air Max Plus Tuned 1 debuted through an exclusive partnership with Footlocker, with the running shoe only available at the retailer’s stores. The Tuned quickly became a staple in the Air Max lineup, as it was the first shoe to incorporate the then-new Tuned technology in the sole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following its 25th anniversary last year, the shoe has been released in a variety of exciting new styles, with more expected, including the upcoming “Swarovski” editions slated for the holiday season. This week, another new design has been added to Nike’s Fall collection, featuring the iconic gradient look in a fresh color combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The base layer begins with a Light Wild Mango yellow at the toe, transitions to a hot pink at the midfoot, and concludes with Persian Violet purple at the heel. The plastic support piece in the sole mirrors these colors in a gradient pattern, while the rest of the shoe is accented with Platinum Tint white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While an official release date for this latest colorway has not been confirmed, it is anticipated to drop in October 2024. Priced at US$170, the shoes are expected to be available on the SNKRS app and at select retailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
