Introduced in seventh-generation main series Pok\u00e9mon video games Pok\u00e9mon Sun and Moon, Aether Foundation president Lusamine is often regarded as one of the most compelling villains in the entire Pok\u00e9mon series. The Pok\u00e9mon TCG card from GX Battle Boost [SM4+] that features her has since gone to become one of the biggest pulls of Gen 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Super Rare (SR) card’s Full Art illustration references the events that took place at the climax of Pok\u00e9mon Sun and Moon’s storyline when Lusamine merges bodies with Ultra Beast Nihilego prior to her final confrontation against the protagonist. It can clearly be seen that the Parasite Pok\u00e9mon has taken over every fiber of Lusamine’s being\u2014a key plot point that led up to that final showdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost every card which has a Full Art illustration of a female character gets a value boost\u2014this one is the same. In addition, the references to content from the video games are likely to attract further interest from many. Even without the “female character effect”, the illustration itself is extremely striking, vividly capturing the surrounding environment of Ultra Space, the interdimensional spatial plane from which the Ultra Beasts come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, from a gameplay perspective, this card is renowned as among the most powerful and game-breaking of its era\u2014so much so that it was banned from tournament play from February 2019 to March 2021. This further elevates the card’s reputation and thus value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The English version of this card is card 153\/156 from Ultra Prism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of a Lusamine (GX Battle Boost [SM4+] 120\/114) card is steep, to say the least\u2014a copy comes in at a whopping 299,999 JPY (~US$2,064)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
