[Update 7 Aug 2024] Additional silhouettes from the upcoming Back to the Future x Converse drop have surfaced. Two new pairs feature the film’s logo on black and white canvas uppers, respectively. All three styles, including the previously teased design, will retail for US$98 at Converse Japan, both online and in-store. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Converse has announced an exciting partnership with the iconic sci-fi film, “Back to the Future”. The brand is releasing a special edition Converse All-Star inspired by the shoes worn by the film’s protagonist, Marty McFly in August 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Back to the Future x Converse All-Star US MT HI design undergoes a meticulous transformation to capture the essence of the time-traveling teen’s footwear. The sneakers feature a distressed look achieved through a unique washing and bleaching process, replicating the worn appearance of Marty’s shoes. Even the tapes and laces are intentionally aged to complement the overall vintage aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the visual appeal, these sneakers are packed with movie-inspired details. The shoe’s lining proudly displays the “Back to the Future” logo, while a tape featuring the exact date of Marty’s time travel adventure, as seen on the DeLorean’s time circuit, is incorporated into the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration extends beyond the shoes themselves. The sneakers are housed in a special collector’s box adorned with the film’s iconic imagery and design elements, providing fans with an immersive “Back to the Future” experience.<\/p>\n\n\n
