[Update 5 Aug 2024] The BAPE x adidas Dame 9 has got a third colorway in the mix. Coming in an Olympic-friendly makeover, the new colorway pays tribute to the international tournament. Thanks to leaks from @sean_wotherspoon<\/a> and @shigeyuki_kunii<\/a>, we’ve got our first look at the new colorway. Damian Lillard’s signature adidas line has been a mainstay in performance basketball sneakers. The upcoming adidas Dame 9, the 10th iteration in the series, builds upon this pedigree, recently unveiled during All-Star Weekend. This latest offering marks a renewed collaboration with iconic streetwear brand BAPE, following their previous partnership on the Dame 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The BAPE x adidas Dame 9 showcases a functional design, featuring a textile upper bolstered with synthetic overlays for optimal on-court durability and support. Mesh ventilation panels strategically placed on the midfoot enhance breathability while maintaining the signature adidas Three Stripes aesthetic. A neoprene bootie ensures a secure, comfortable fit, ideal for the rigors of competitive basketball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shoe boasts a red base emblazoned with BAPE’s iconic ABC camo pattern. Black accents on the tongue and neoprene lining provide a striking contrast. Golden details elevate the design, adorning the Three Stripes incision on the midfoot, the BAPE head logo on the lateral heel, and the adidas logo near the toe. A unique touch comes in the form of BAPE STA branding on the heel. The design is completed with a black midsole and a red outsole featuring zoned LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extending beyond footwear, the collaboration encompasses a range of matching apparel. This includes a reversible jersey, a Baby Milo shirt, and basketball shorts, all designed to complement the BAPE x adidas Dame 9 aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scheduled for release in August 2024, the BAPE x adidas Dame 9 will be available for purchase through adidas, BAPE, and select retailers online and in-store. The official retail price has yet to be announced. Stay tuned for further details on this highly anticipated collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
