[Update 16 Sep 2022] With news that the “white” Nike Air Max Scorpion<\/a> will be dropping on October, all eyes are on this Triple Black colorway. According to sources, this Nike Air Max Scorpion “Triple Black” will be a womens exclusive, and could be joining its big brother real soon as more colorways get released sequentially.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Line\"By the philosophy of Yin and Yang, for every vivid or white make-up that Nike has released, thus must (eventually) be followed by a “Triple Black”. The Air Max Scorpion was already introduced in two colorways earlier this year and wether we saw this coming or not, it is nigh. There’s no official release date that surfaced with these photos but we now can gauge how much “sting” this arachnid of a shoe has.<\/p>\n

Similar to its Air Max 720 cousin, the upper is built with an engineered black Flyknit, lightly contrasted by the grey Swoosh, that’s also stitched on the toe and debossed on the heel. The pull tab above it interestingly has braille inscribed on it; while the laces, lace loops, and protective mudguard stay consistent with the monochromatic scheme. All of which are built above a smoky translucent, bulbous outsole.<\/p>\n

The consensus around the midsole’s design has been divisive but with the pair getting a shadow makeover, it might become an acquired taste for some. Furthermore, Nike offers the design ethos behind the shoes as “offering tomorrow’s comfort today.” When a release date’s announced and the opportunity to fit into the pair arrives, we’ll find out about its veracity. Whether it’s true or just an ad man’s ingenious copy.<\/p>\n

For what it’s worth, the Triple Black will go well with Yohji Yamamoto’s New Era FW2022 Capsule<\/a>. That’s if you’re not against pairing your Nikes with the man sitting under the shade of adidas’ tree.<\/p>\n
