On the surface, TACTICAL-TRY DECK<\/a> Adelantado: Eldlich might not have the same immediate level of demand that the other two of the TACTICAL-TRY DECK series do. After all, those other decks feature a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG icon in Cyber End Dragon and a card benefiting from the “female character boost” in Evil\u2605Twin’s Trouble Sunny respectively. However, that doesn’t mean that Eldlich the Golden Lord, TACTICAL-TRY DECK Adelantado: Eldlich’s only Ultra Rare card, should be overlooked by any means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like many of the cards in TACTICAL-TRY DECK Adelantado: Eldlich, this card was originally part of Deck Build Pack: Secret Slayers which was released in 2020. An earlier version of this card was that pack’s cover card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The monster depicted on this card has made prior appearance in other Yu-Gi-Oh TCG card illustrations. Those cards include two others from Deck Build Pack: Secret Slayers\u2014El Dorado Adelantado and Golde Land Forever!\u2014as well as Seven Cities from Golden Land, a card from Blazing Vortex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s also a stealth pun in this card’s illustration. The item on its chest is based on the golden spiral, a type of spiral with a width that increases by a factor of \u03c6 (the golden ratio) for every quarter-turn that it makes. Given the card’s many references to gold, this is very apt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The version of this card from TACTICAL-TRY DECK: Adelantado: Eldlich is only out in Japanese. That said, this card’s earlier versions all have English translations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A copy of an Eldlich the Golden Lord (TACTICAL-TRY DECK: Adelantado: Eldlich TT01-JPC01) card sells for 1,820 JPY (~US$12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
