The Japanese traditional embroidery was originally developed by the working class to preserve their precious textiles, stitching together a worn-out piece with layers of old cloth to produce a sturdy garment. Today, the method finds itself in the realm of high fashion since intricate stitches and patterns are deemed fine craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

Taking the handful of design-cues of its namesake, the navy blue becomes the canvas for most of the decorative stitching on the upper; found along the toe box, the waist, heel, and ankle strap. The “aged” aesthetic is integrated through the sail midsole, brown leather on the heel clips and tongue, and on it a faded debossed logo. The pair will also include a red, black, and white laces to alternate with the default teal.<\/p>\n

It’s expected to go for \u00a517,000 (\u2248US$128). Word is, it will be released in Japan soon at some adidas Originals retailers and get a wider release online at adidas.com, although there is no news about an exact date.<\/p>\n
