Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS, an anime series which was a spin-off of the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime, has (like most of the other spin-off anime series) become somewhat underrated at this point. Duelist Pack: Duelists of Brilliance<\/a>, the newest Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Duelist Pack, keeps Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS in the spotlight by featuring many cards used by Skye Zaizen, one of the major characters from Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Trickstar Noble Angel card is perhaps the set’s most effective showcase of connections to Skye. First and foremost, Skye’s deck in the anime is one of the Trickstar archetype\u2014the same one to which this card belongs. However, things go much deeper than that alone. The card’s name itself alludes to “Blue Angel”\u2014Skye’s first alias that she used in her Celebrity Duelist persona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The card’s effect is also an anime reference. It allows the players to add the Angel of Blue Tears card from the Deck to the hand. Angel of Blue Tears is a Spell card based on Blue Angel, an in-universe book from which Skye derived her alias. This was because Skye herself closely related to the story and personality of the book’s protagonist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this Quarter Century Secret Rare card depicts a female character, it’s certain to be among the set’s most in-demand for that reason. In addition, Skye was also among the most popular characters in Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS, so this card’s multiple references to her will likely attract a considerable number of buyers, especially those who are also fans of the anime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card’s English release date hasn’t yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Trickstar Noble Angel (Duelist Pack: Duelists of Brilliance DP29-JP040) card goes for 3,500 JPY (~US$22).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
