A kunoichi in training from the region of Kuri in Wano Country, Tama was one of the key allies of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance during the Wano Country Arc despite her tender age. Thanks to that as well as with her compelling backstory, Tama emerged as one of the arc’s “sleeper hits” in terms of character popularity. Thus, her Rare Parallel [R-P] card from 500 Years in the Future [OP-07] became one of the set’s most coveted cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card’s Parallel Art illustration depicts a front-facing Tama, the last survivor of the Kurozumi family, holding an apple in both hands, grinning ear to ear. This could possibly refer to Tama’s brutal training sessions in which she goes ages without any food. There’s also a reference to her backstory\u2014in the One Piece manga, Tama grew up in poverty; this is reflected by her tattered, patched yukata which is clearly visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a second reference to the manga implied by the apple. After Tama accompanied series protagonist Monkey D. Luffy to Okobore Town after stealing a supply of food from the Beasts Pirates, one of the most sentimental manga panels unfolded. While Tama ate an apple from that supply, Luffy promised her that she’d never lack food again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The background of the card’s illustration features floral prints\u2014a direct reference to Tama’s signature aesthetic theme. This adds an additional level of characterization to the illustration. On top of that, the non-Parallel Art version of the card doesn’t feature that same floral-print background, adding a level of exclusivity to this card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card has already been released in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One copy of a Tama (500 Years in the Future [OP-07] OP07-022) card costs 2,400 JPY (~US$15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
