ANT KAI’s foray into sneaker customization started humbly. A pair of Vans, reimagined with a BAPE twist, became a birthday gift for his niece. But the process ignited a passion within him, and KAI couldn’t resist the urge to keep creating, pushing the boundaries of his artistic talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Virgil Abloh co-sign and many hit customizations later, he now has the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Zoom “Wheat” reimagination in his repertoire. The pair takes inspiration from The King’s campaign for Louis Vuitton’s Spring\/Summer 2024 Collection and the late Abloh’s Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artist mentioned on his Instagram page, “I cut the leather in a way that the wheat material underneath would outline it just as the LV Air Force 1\u2019s did.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KAI kept the original leather edges for added depth, then used the the luxury brand’s Damier print on the toe and eyestay, and its checkerboard pattern on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel. LeBron branding stays put, while the Swoosh gets a Damier makeover. The classic gum sole from the “Wheat” colorway finishes the design, staying true to the original shoe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This unique creation by the designer is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, not available for public purchase. It’s also not an official pair, with KAI stating, “This is a custom sneaker and not an official Nike, Lebron James, or Louis Vuitton collaboration.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also hopes to gift the pair to the basketball player who helped inspire the “Louis Vuitton Brons”. “If anyone can help me get a pair to LeBron please DM me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
