The Tag All Stars [SM12a] Pok\u00e9mon TCG set was probably best known for its inclusion of and emphasis on Pok\u00e9mon-GX; these were cards featuring two Pok\u00e9mon in the same card. The two Pok\u00e9mon depicted on a Pok\u00e9mon-GX card were implied to be forming a tag team and yielded three Prize cards upon being KO’d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Pok\u00e9mon-GX weren’t the only highlights of Tag All Stars [SM12a]. Despite having been released two generations and almost five years ago, the Sightseer card from that set remains one of the most sought-after and valuable seventh-generation Pok\u00e9mon TCG cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, with this Super Rare (SR) card featuring a Full Art illustration of a female character, it was always well-placed to be a prime pull despite the fact that Sightseer isn’t a canonical Trainer class in the video games. However, there’s another reason why this card is the attraction that it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the first release of a Sightseer card in Thunderclap Spark [SM7a], its best-known form soon came. Winners of New Battle tournaments held at participating Pok\u00e9mon Card Gym venues across Japan would be awarded a Mirror Holofoil SM-P Promotional card. While this card would eventually once again return to ordinary sets, its tournament prize form remained its lasting legacy\u2014even well after the Tag All Stars [SM12a] version dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there have been versions of Sightseer released in English, this particular iteration of the card never was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the latest figures, a Sightseer (Tag All Stars [SM12a] 192\/173) card sells for 74,000 JPY (~US$475).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
