The AIREI x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC “Birch” turns footwear into art. This colorway follows in the footsteps of its predecessor of the same model, in “Black”<\/a>. The shoe is also an exclusive release that features khadi gauze\u2014a unique fabric traditionally crafted in Eastern India that’s produced without using any electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gauze overlays the already-released ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC “Birch\/Dark Taupe”, adding to the pair a textural twist and symbolic depth that reflects sustainability and manual expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a personalized touch, AIREI’s studio has hand-stitched each heel with natural-colored thread, further adding to the dedication poured into every shoe. In tandem with AIREI’s Spring\/Summer 2024 collection theme, WINDHORSE, these sneakers represent the indomitable spirit within us all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delicate gauze undergoes a burning process, leaving a visually striking mark on each pair. This “scar” signifies overcoming challenges and finding beauty in resilience. It also makes each pair a collectible\u2014no one is the same as the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further adding to this factor is its exclusivity. The AIREI x ASICS GEL-QUANTUM KINETIC “Birch” will only be available in person at Dover Street Market New York on 3 May 2024. Only 50 pairs will be released, each retailing for US$265.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
