[Update 20 Aug 2024] On the Japanese livestream of the 2024 Pok\u00e9mon TCG World Championships<\/a>, more card images were revealed including those of cards of the Double Rare (RR), Art Rare (AR), Special Art Rare (SAR), and ACE SPEC rarities. Head to the gallery for the images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name and release date of another upcoming Pok\u00e9mon TCG expansion set have now been confirmed. Paradise Dragona will be released in Japan on 13 September 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In April 2024, it was found that Pok\u00e9mon Japan had filed a trademark for the name “Paradise Dragona”. The terms of this trademark were the same as those used for previous set names; thus, it was always likely that the set would indeed bear that name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As is implied by its name, the set will almost certainly primarily feature Dragon-type Pok\u00e9mon. While unconfirmed, it’s widely anticipated that two of the featured Pok\u00e9mon of this set will be Hydrapple and Archaludon. Hydrapple, a Grass\/Dragon-type, and Archaludon, a Steel\/Dragon-type, were both introduced to the Pok\u00e9mon franchise as part of the Indigo Disk DLC of the Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet video games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No details about an international release have yet been finalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One booster box of cards from Paradise Dragona will sell for 5,400 JPY (~US$35).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
