[Update 7 Sep 2022] More release details of the New Balance 2002R Mules are trickling in. Two more colorways (out of nine) have now received an official release date at 17 September. New Balance’s innovative mules are infused with its proprietary cushioning, and are expected to drop in batches. Keep you eyes peeled for the latest!<\/strong><\/p>\n

[Update 19 Aug 2022] Perhaps in preparation of the upcoming fall season, New Balance has released official photos of more colorways of its New Balance 2002R Mule. A total of nine colorways, ranging from tonal greys to caramel brown to baby pink, are unveiled and expected to drop from 2022 through 2023. This time, New Balance also utilized a mix of different materials like corduroy and smooth leather, on top of the usual suede and mesh. Follow along as we wait for more release details to come through.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Line\"Slides and clogs are having a moment, and brands, from adidas<\/a> to Louis Vuitton<\/a>, have started releasing innovative sneaker hybrids in a bid to test the market.<\/p>\n

New Balance’s entry into the slip-on sneaker arena comes in the form of a “running mule”. The New Balance 2002RM Mule is essentially the Boston-based brand’s 2002R lifestyle-running shoe model without the heel. This means the New Balance Mule is equipped with the same proprietary running tech like N-ERGY shock absorption and ABZORB cushioning on the sole unit.<\/p>\n

On the upper, you will find the familiar mash-up of mesh and suede, complete with New Balance’s N logo at the side and a round logo with the text “New Balance Running” at the tongue area. However, the lacing system has now been replaced with a laceless suede panel running down the forefoot.<\/p>\n

New Balance will be dropping the 2002RM Mule in two colorways\u2014”Rain Cloud” featuring the brand’s signature tonal greys and “Mindful Grey” which is more of a tan color than grey. This mule silhouette was previously seen on the Bryant Giles x New Balance collab<\/a>, but New Balance’s own solo version has only been available in China so far, so stay tuned for latest updates on the release details.<\/p>\n
