[Update 8 May 2025] The price of the Radiant Greninja card has recently risen to 4,000 JPY (~US$28) per copy\u2014largely due to the demand for it due to Greninja’s immense popularity as well as its status as the final evolution of one of the starter trio Pok\u00e9mon from the Pokemon X and Y video games.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 24 Oct 2024] As part of the Palkia VSTAR\/Dusknoir deck, Radiant Greninja plays an important role that differentiates the deck from other decks containing the Dusknoir card from Night Wanderer [SV6a]<\/a>. Radiant Greninja is used to pick off opposing Benched Basic Pok\u00e9mon before they evolve, making this card and thus the Palkia VSTAR\/Dusknoir deck a counter for decks such as the Charizard ex and Dragapult ex decks as well as other decks which include Dusknoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When a Pok\u00e9mon TCG card features one of the biggest fan favorites of them all while also being a card with outstanding gameplay utility, it’s certain to be one of its set’s most sought-after cards. Such is the case with the Radiant Greninja card from the Battle Region [S9a] set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like all other Radiant cards, this Radiant Greninja card depicts the Water-type Pok\u00e9mon’s Shiny form, increasing its value to collectors. To add to its desirability, all Radiant Pok\u00e9mon come in the unique rarity of K. Finally, Greninja is one of the most popular Pok\u00e9mon, consistently ranking at or near the top in countless fan polls. Thus, this card is in and of itself a major attraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That, however, is just one part of the equation. Radiant Greninja is one of the pre-eminent snipers in today’s Pok\u00e9mon TCG metagame. Fitting for an attack named “Moonlight Shuriken”, Radiant Greninja deals 90 damage to two of the opponent’s Benched Pok\u00e9mon for three Energy cards\u2014a great way to pick off the opponent’s defenseless Pok\u00e9mon stuck on the Bench and steal a march on the opponent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For all of the reasons detailed, Radiant Greninja will be reprinted as part of the upcoming Chien-Pao ex Battle Master Deck<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The English translation of this card is 046\/189 in the Astral Radiance set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Somewhat surprisingly, the price tag of a Radiant Greninja (Battle Region [S9a] 025\/067) card is relatively affordable at just 1,540 JPY (~US$9.95).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
