Following Lillie’s series debut in the seventh-generation Pok\u00e9mon Sun and Moon video games, it didn’t take long for her to become a firm fan favorite. She has remained as such to this day\u2014and recently, despite not featuring on a particularly rare card, the value of the Lillie card from the Sky-Splitting Charisma [SM7] Pok\u00e9mon TCG expansion set has seen a massive spike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card depicting Professor Kukui’s assistant has a rarity of Uncommon (U)\u2014something that wouldn’t normally move the needle. However, over the past several weeks, this card’s price tag has more than doubled for reasons that remain unclear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it’s true that Lillie has been a highly popular character ever since her introduction because of the usual “female character boost” as well as her compelling character arc, those explanations can only do so much to explain such a sizable increase in the price tag of an otherwise rather ordinary, nondescript card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, it’s obvious that Lillie’s popularity has suddenly peaked once again. It will be interesting to see if this price trend carries on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The English version of this card is in the Ultra Prism set as card 125\/156.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the back of its enormous price hike, the price tag of a Lillie (Sky-Splitting Charisma [SM7] 092\/096) card is now \u00a57,000 (~US$46).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
