A new Nike Kobe 5 Protro colorway has been revealed. Currently dubbed the “X-Ray”, the motif is inspired by the Mamba Mentality Kobe Bryant himself exemplified; often playing through pain and injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pair echoes the iconic “X-Ray” shirt designed for Kobe as part of Nike’s “Broken Not Beaten” campaign in 2011, featuring images of his hand injuries alongside his five championship rings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro \u201cX-Ray\u201d features a Deep Royal Blue base with a translucent upper that reveals a foot X-ray graphic, similar to Nike’s “Skeleton” Air Force 1 collection. Other cool details include Baltic Blue Swooshes with white outlines and a glow-in-the-dark sole that adds to the X-Ray theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A firm release date’s yet to be disclosed but the pair is expected to launch in October 2024. Find them then on Nike SNKRS in men’s and grade school sizes for US$190 and US$120, respectively. Stay tuned for more details and images in the following weeks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
