[Update 3 Apr 2025] This card is now a key part of the Blue\/Purple Luffy deck’s strategy for the same reason that it has been used in other decks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 7 Mar 2025] Having previously been a frequent inclusion in the Purple Luffy deck as well as the now-banned Red\/Purple Law deck, this card has now made its way into a new variant of the Purple\/Black Luffy deck. It’s mainly used as a DON!! ramping engine; in addition, if the opponent has a high-Power Character card in play, this card can be used to copy that card’s Power and strike with an attack of the same Power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first glance, most would assume that this promotional Secret Rare (SEC-P) ONE PIECE Card Game card is one of Nami. However, take a closer look and it becomes clear that this card is actually Mr. 2 Bon Clay (Bentham) in a disguised form. It’s this layer of novelty which adds interest to this card from the Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB01]<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the One Piece canon, Mr. 2 Bon Clay (Bentham) is capable of using the power of the Clone-Clone Fruit to shapeshift and take on the appearance of any person. The scenario depicted in this card shows him as having taken the appearance of Nami, a character who’s a consistent fan-favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that he appears as Nami not only infuses the card with a sense of intrigue\u2014it also plays to demographics, since female characters, as expected, tend to be more popular in most cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, as a card with the SEC-P rarity, it isn’t available in ordinary booster packs\u2014making it much more of a challenge to obtain. This, of course, causes the card’s desirability and price tag to rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like the rest of the Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB01], this card will be out in English in May 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Mr. 2 Bon Clay Bentham (Extra Booster Memorial Collection [EB01-061]) card goes for \u00a57,000 (~US$47).<\/p>\n\n\n
