Since founding the lifestyle brand Ageless Galaxy (AGLXY) in 2013, the duo has translated this passion into their designs, crafting creations that defy boundaries, much like the vastness of the galaxy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A decade since its inception, AGLXY has celebrated several milestones, including the grand opening of its flagship store in October 2020, as well as launching collaborations with partners such as BMW, Roland Lifestyle, Carrots, and The Hundreds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello, I’m Tamish Aswani, the proud co-founder of AGLXY. Based in the vibrant heart of Jakarta, Indonesia, AGLXY stands as a beacon of street culture, blending contemporary streetwear, innovative retail experiences, and a creative agency that pushes the boundaries of conventional design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We harness this energy to foster a global community by collaborating with like-minded creatives from across the world. This approach doesn’t just put us on the map; it weaves our diverse origins into a narrative that resonates universally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any specific fashion trends or industry developments in 2023 that have caught your attention or impacted your brand?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Observing the cyclical nature of fashion trends, particularly the resurgence of styles from the ’90s and 2000s, is fascinating. While AGLXY cherishes its unique identity, we also acknowledge the value in occasionally aligning with broader trends, infusing them with our distinct touch to resonate with the collective consciousness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have just unveiled a triple collaboration with Mighty Jaxx and Jeff Staple. Can you tell us more about how that came about?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our recent collaboration with Mighty Jaxx and Jeff Staple is a testament to the power of synergy. It all started with an interpreted illustration of the iconic pigeon motif, which I jokingly suggested to Jeff, “Imagine that as a toy”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next thing we knew, we had turned a sketch into a t-shirt and also a collectible toy, which honestly feels awesome. The whole process<\/a> illustrates how bringing together diverse creative minds can lead to groundbreaking outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you approach the creative process when developing a new collection or campaign?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our creative process is deeply immersive, drawing inspiration from a myriad of sources. For instance, in our POD Collection 016<\/a>, we combined retro-futuristic themes from childhood cartoons with elements inspired by the De Stijl art movement, imbuing them with a positive outlook on life’s brighter path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We seamlessly blend intuition with methodical design principles to ensure that each collection and campaign resonates with our audience and remains aligned with our core values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you could collaborate with any creatives or brand, who would it be, and how would you incorporate elements of their work into your designs?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dream collaboration would be with NIGO. His monumental influence on street culture is undeniable. Combining AGLXY’s vision with his groundbreaking aesthetic could ignite something truly extraordinary, blending legacy and innovation seamlessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
