Nike’s celebrations for the Air Force 1’s 40th Anniversary continues to rage on as news of fresh colorways seeming to pop up every other day. This time, it has reached our eyes and ears that an Air Force 1 “Dark Beetroot” is making its way onto the market for the summer.<\/p>\n
This iteration’s upper is dressed primarily in classic white. Accenting this simple base are burgundy accents, reminiscent of beetroot, on the liners, tongue and outsoles. A pewter AF1 dubrae is placed at its usual position while a small beetroot Swoosh appears right below.<\/p>\n
Compared to other Air Force 1 designs that have dropped for the 40th Anniversary celebrations, such as one that featured layered archival symbols<\/a> and another with receipt tongues<\/a>, this Air Force 1 Dark Beetroot is relatively pared back. That being said, such a classic two-tone look makes this iteration an easy slip into anyone’s daily rotation.
