The latest collaboration between atmos and ASICS is a pair based on the concept of “Black Wagyu Beef,” led by meat-loving celebrity Jimon Terakado. Jimon Terakado is a member of the comedy trio “Ostrich Club” and is known as one of the best gourmets in Japan’s entertainment industry. With his knowledge and obsession that surpasses that of professionals, a special “GEL-LYTE \u2162” sublimated with Terakado’s specialties will be coming in our way<\/span>\u2013<\/span>atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG \u201cBlack Wagyu Beef\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

ASCIS GEL-LYTE III OG was created in 1990 and has been loved for many years because of its distinctive design. The model will be upgraded to a more luxurious design featuring gold embroidery on a jet-black body. Uniquely, this pair of sneakers will feature a body hair of a Wagyu cow as its base while the patent leather resembles the cow’s eyes.<\/p>\n

The heels are stamped with the golden embroidered text of “KOBE,” “MATSUSAKA,” and “OMI,” representing the three brands of black Wagyu beef. In addition, the text “PRIME” is embroidered in gold on the side. The look is completed with insoles that are printed with graphic image of finely marbled beef. The details of the sneakers give it a luxurious style that only black Wagyu beef can offer.<\/p>\n

To commemorate the collaboration shoes, two socks design and a small figurine will be released on the same date. “MEAT CAMO SOCKS” and “SHIMOFURI CAMO SOCKS,” are two socks designs that come printed with marbled meat graphic. In addition, a marbled concept Kinnikuman figurine was also created. The model is inspired by the childhood of Kinniku Suguru, a.k.a. Kinnikuman, which is  a famous Japanese manga series. The figurine should not be missed by figure collectors and sneakerheads!<\/p>\n

The atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG \u201cBlack Wagyu Beef” is up for lottery on atmos’ website until 21 July, 8:59AM JST with a general release on atmos’ website and directly managed stores on 23 July. The retail price for atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG \u201cBlack Wagyu Beef” is set at \u00a520,350 (US$147), while the socks and figurine are priced at \u00a52,200 JPY (US$16) and \u00a513,000 JPY (US$95) <\/span><\/p>\n
