The New Balance 2002R is seeing a resurgence in recent years, with many collaborative partners such as AURALEE<\/a>, thisisneverthat<\/a>, and Joe Freshgoods<\/a> utilising the model as a base for their creative output. Now, in a Japanese-exclusive release, the brand is presenting the New Balance 2002R with a removable mesh pouch that can act as a storage for extra pair of laces, to place little items like your keys, or simply as a New Balance-branded pouch for your personal use.<\/p>\n

The shoe itself comes in shades of gray. A knit mesh upper in the palest gray is complemented by steel gray leather overlays. The N logo takes on a deeper shade of gray for contrast while the midsole is a transitional, warmer off-white shade. The sole is made of New Balance’s signature ACTEVA LITE foam, which is 24% lighter than the brand’s standard compression foams.<\/p>\n

This tonal cool gray New Balance 2002R with a removable pouch will be made available on New Balance<\/a> and atmos Tokyo<\/a> on 14 July. It will retail at \u00a519,800 (~US$144).
