In a call-back to an iconic sneaker, Nike enters the vintage turf with a reintroduction of a classic. The Nike Field General 82 SP “White Varsity Red” shows that Nike’s best is more than a match for any other brand attempting a reimagined vintage shoe: they’re coming in on fire with this new take on an underrated gem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nike Field General 82 shoes dotted gridirons across the US three to four decades ago. Now, this shoe and its timeless aesthetic have returned with an all-new colorway: the Nike Field General 82 SP “White Varsity Red”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nike Field General 82 SP “White Varsity Red” colorway is all about clean lines and striking accents. A white nylon-and-leather base features vibrant varsity red accents on the Swoosh, heel tab, and tongue tag. The heel tag’s branding in bold white equally stands out, while the black midsole matches the simplicity of the upper. For traction, this sneaker even has a waffle-patterned rubber outsole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nike isn’t merely playing off nostalgia here\u2014the sneaker’s minimalistic paneling, classic low-top silhouette, and streamlined look bring a standout sneaker of its era into the 2020s. It’s Nike’s way of showcasing the sneaker’s enduring appeal to a new generation of sneakerheads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
