New Balance and atmos have a track record of collab hits, and their final act of 2023 is a sleek and sophisticated one: the atmos x New Balance 550 “Back in Black.” Following their “Cybernetics Blue” 2002R<\/a> earlier this year, this new pair embraces a head-to-toe black monochromatic palette, with only subtle white accents adding a touch of contrast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

True to its name, the “Back in Black” features a premium leather upper that’s smooth in key areas like the mudguard, midfoot, collar, and heel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mesh keeps things breathable on the tongue and collar, while the toe box opts for perforated nubuck for texture. A pebbled leather “N” logo adorns the profiles, joined by white “550” branding on the lateral forefoot and subtle white piping on the midfoot. Underfoot, a black midsole and outsole complete the monochrome look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stay tuned: the atmos x New Balance 550 “Back in Black” drops exclusively on atmos Tokyo on 23 December 2023. A draw is currently open and closes on the 22nd. Coming in men’s sizes, the pair will carry a price tag of US$140.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
