[Update 25 Jul 2022] Following its first skateboard-inspired trainer, Louis Vuitton’s LV Trainer 2 looks towards basketball’s high top silhouettes for inspiration. These designs made its debut on the FW22 runway and has recently been made available on Louis Vuitton’s website in Black and White colorways, each retailing for US$1660. This price point is backed by the seven-hour-long stitching process involved in the making of every LV Trainer 2. The late Virgil Abloh’s creative vision spanned multiple fields, and sneaker design is definitely one of the areas where his influence can be felt most. Now, clearer images of the Louis Vuitton LV Trainer 2 from the house’s FW22 show have surfaced.<\/p>\n

Looking fresh and familiar all at once, this new LV Trainer 2 bears all the signature trademarks of Abloh\u2014a high-top sillhouette that is inspired by basketball. 90s basketball sneakers like the Air Jordan 6, 7 and 8 models provide the main design inspo, and throwback elements like hook-and-loop ankle straps, exaggerated tongues and chunky outsoles can be seen on this shoe.<\/p>\n

Being the luxe version of a basketball sneaker, Louis Vuitton made sure that the LV Trainer 2 is constructed with full grain leather and premium nubuck. Color-wise, the sneaker appears in a range of colorways including Black, White, Purple\/Pink and Sky Blue.<\/p>\n
