[Update 14 Jun 2023] The Louis Vuitton Shark Clog, the French luxury brand’s very own rubber foam clogs, is now available for purchase with a hefty price tag of US$755. Molded from soft EVA rubber, LV described the Shark Clog as “lightweight, waterproof and on-trend”. The Louis Vuitton Shark Clog also features the house’s signature elements such as Monogram Flowers and metal LV logo branding.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides the white and black versions, Head of Footwear Design Mathias Patillon also previewed more exciting colorways on his Instagram. Take a look via the image gallery above!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Louis Vuitton’s appointment of Off-White’s Virgil Abloh as Creative Director saw the fashion house incorporate more streetwear elements into their runway. Such influences by Abloh live on in the Louis Vuitton SS23 Men’s Collection as a mark of his legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the assortment of padded shoulders, oversized-but-tapered suits, embossed\/debossed monograms, sneakerheads will first notice a new silhouette strutting down the runway \u2014 a chunky Louis Vuitton foam clog, also known as the Sabot. Given the bulky sole and perforated upper, we can already imagine a certain rapper typing up an Instagram post right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there are elements that that make it Louis Vuitton’s own. Mathias Patillon, Head of Design for Men’s Footwear at LV, showcases a closer view of the clog on his Instagram<\/a>. The clog-like sneaker has an oversized frame that fits in well with the overall direction of Louis Vuitton’s SS23 collection. The curved shape with a lift at the toe gives the foam shoes a futuristic feel. The Sabot come in three colorways \u2014 off-white, pure white and a deep black.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Louis Vuitton stamp lays at the top while additional monogram branding find themselves on the sock-like bootie that lies within the exoskeleton. The bootie comes in various colors that complements their respective sole molds. Rounding off the look are Louis Vuitton’s logos stamped on the midsole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
