It’s not often that young designers get a shot at creating their own sneakers with a big brand. That further amplifies how big this Phileo x Salomon collaboration is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phileo Landowski, better known to the fashion world as Phileo Paris, is a sneaker designer. Still only 21, you can find some of his works at Dover Street Market outlets, which already shows how promising Phileo can be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, Salomon is set to give him one of the biggest platforms to display his work. Not only is he collaborating with the French outdoor brand, Phileo will also debut a new silhouette for them: the XT-SP1 PHILEO, officially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For longtime Salomon fans, you’ll be quick to identify the XT-6 as the primary inspiration source. According to the French brand, the XT-SP1 is “a shoe designed to express the candid, emotional purity of nature mixed into the backdrop of harsher, more rugged urban dwelling.” The XT-SP1 will come in “Black” and “Cradle Pink” respectively, with Forest Spruce accents supplementing the black pair while White does the same for the pink colorway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The XT-SP1 does indeed replace the XT-6’s technical, fluorescent lines with a soft and tactile knitted upper. It’s further accented with a velcro, felt-like material wrapping around the top half of the shoe. A translucent sole unit is also added to the concoction, providing an inside look of the patented Agile Chassis unit within the outsole. Phileo’s namesake is etched into the tongue, right shoe heel, as well as the medial side of the right pair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Phileo x Salomon XT-SP1 PHILEO will be first released through Dover Street Market Ginza, Phileo Paris’ website on 2 November, while a wider launch will occur through Salomon and its select retailers on 9 November. The retail price is set at US$305.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
