[Update 16 Oct 2023] Following initial reports on the return of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Ueno Sakura”, it has now been confirmed that the pair will not see a retro release due to “internal reasons”, as stated during The Complex Sneakers Show podcast.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nike released the Air Force 1 “Ueno Sakura” in 2005 to coincide with the cherry blossom season in Japan. Specifically for the Japanese market, the exclusives naturally became highly coveted in a time when secondary markets were nascent. Almost two decades later, the pair is purported to return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its name pays homage to Tokyo’s Ueno Park and the country’s Sakura season. Crafted to summon the elegant vibe of the cherry blossoms, a Watermelon Pink outsole works in tandem with its Light Bone suede upper. The word “Ueno” is engraved subtly inside the delicate petals of the laser-etched sakura flowers on the forefoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no firm release date yet but they are expected to return in the spring of 2024. More details should emerge within the coming months so stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
