[Update 8 Jun 2022] <\/strong>With the GOLF le FLEUR* x Converse GLF 2.0 approaching us in just one day, Tyler, the Creator has dropped a 1-minute film<\/a> titled “fresh fish” to celebrate the release. In the short video, the shoes are depicted as “fresh fish” with the chef cooking up pasta (shoelaces) and seared fish (outsoles). Grammy-winning rapper, producer and cultural icon Tyler, The Creator is expanding his ongoing collaboration with Converse to give us an all-new GOLF le FLEUR* GLF 2.0 silhouette!<\/p>\n

GOLF le FLEUR* is an offshoot of GOLF WANG, a streetwear brand started by Tyler, The Creator. Born from a 2017 collaboration between GOLF WANG and Converse, the brand’s name was a rough French translation of the name of Tyler’s studio album “Flower Boy”. GOLF le FLEUR* has since separated its creative presence from GOLF WANG, producing countless luxury sneakers, apparel and lifestyle accessories. Together with Converse, GOLF le FLEUR* has pursued a number of exciting projects, including an extremely aesthetic invite-only physical store<\/a> in Los Angeles – it’s clear that Tyler is dedicated to bring the brand to the next level in the luxury fashion and streetwear scene.<\/p>\n

As a sequel to the first GLF sneaker launched in 2017, the GLF 2.0 references its predecessor with its distinctive suede accents, flower motifs and bright colours. However, rather than doubling down on the original design elements, it interestingly reduces them and simplifies the shoe’s design. The suede has been pulled back to the tongue, heel, toe-box and eyestays, a big shift from the suede upper in the 2017 release<\/a>. Colours are vibrant but more neutral and earthy, and the flower motif shows up subtly by harnessing colour blocking across wavy, flower-like borders. In many ways, the GLF 2.0 represents Tyler, The Creator and GOLF le FLEUR*’s evolution over these 5 years. It is simple, but there is a beauty in simplicity and the subtle elements give the design a depth it would have otherwise lacked.<\/p>\n

The GLF 2.0 will be releasing on 9 June, 10:00AM EDT in two colourways: Curry\/Copper Tan\/Winter White and Oil Green\/Bison\/Winter White, so look out for it on Converse’s and GOLF le FLEUR*’s online stores. The retail price has been set at US$110. More details below.<\/span><\/p>\n
