In the early ’00s, Nike debuted the Air Zoom Courtposite. But because the Foamposite’s mold is inherently difficult to break in, they didn’t get much favor from tennis players they were meant for, with Andre Agassi himself refusing to wear the shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, like other models of decades past, they fair much better once they’ve transcended their performance pedigree. Recently unveiled on Instagram by Spanish tennis pro and Nike athlete, Carlos Alcaraz, the model will return as a fashion-forward lifestyle option, ushered in by a Supreme collaboration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’ll be availed in “Metallic Gold,” “Black,” and “White”, with each one bearing the mark of the quintessential New York streetwear brand on its molded upper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s no firm release date yet aside from a projection in the fall. When D-Day comes eventually, find them on Nike SNKRS with an RRP of US$150. As the Swoosh has done before, a revival from the archives is usually led by a big name collaboration before being succeeded by more inline releases. So expect to see more of the silhouette in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
