After impressing with his creative direction in the New Balance “Made in USA” <\/a>line, Teddy Santis has become a name to look out for in the footwear scene. And it seems like he has more in the vault waiting to be released. In his recent Instagram stories, the designer behind fashion brand\u00a0Aim\u00e9 Leon Dore (ALD) shared some teasers of what looks like an ALD x New Balance collaboration.<\/p>\n

The first to be showcased was the New Balance 991. Cream-colored mesh appears on the upper alongside tawny brown leather. Rich forest green colors the logo and on the suede pieces along the toe box and quarter. Solidifying this as an ALD x New Balance collaboration is the exclusive box, which states “Made in England, designed for Mulberry Street”. This marks the New York’s brand first made-in-the-UK sneaker.<\/p>\n

The New Balance 550 was also featured on the usually-quiet Instagram page of Teddy Santis, albeit with only one photo. The 550 model pays tribute to the original in 1989 which was a pro basketballer’s favourite back in the day. Santis’ ALD takes the modern edition and dresses them in a deep green and almost-black navy leather. Cream-colored mesh also makes its appearance here, possibly making this the first drop whereby mesh is introduced to the 550. Covered by the two colorways is a possible third shade in pale grey suede.<\/p>\n

As of yet, no release dates have made its way into our ears, but we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we glean more information. Given the deeper tones, we suspect an incoming autumn release, but only time will tell. ‘Till then, keep this page bookmarked to be updated with the latest information.
