[Update 26 Oct 2023] The model name of the new Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance SS24 sneaker has been revealed. Officially known as the “URC42”, check out the latest shots of the pair, including an unrevealed black variation via the gallery above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Junya Watanabe has never been afraid to experiment and go beyond conventional norms. This time around, the label is working with New Balance to introduce a brand new silhouette, as debuted during their Spring\/Summer 2024 show at Paris Fashion Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the new silhouette is unnamed at the moment, New Balance Japan’s marketing manager Tsuyoshi Ikedo<\/a> provided some early details about the model. According to his Instagram post, it’s “something real, something that has history, that has a traditional shape. Our way of originality. A new feeling of basics.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, through photos of the runway as well as exclusive images via Highsnobiety<\/a>, it’s apparent that the duo have chose to keep things as minimalistic as possible. Utilizing white leather on most of its upper, grey suede accents hit off the “N” logo, toe box and heel. Around the back, “JW MAN” is embossed in white.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
