Prior releases of Action Bronson and New Balance’s 990v6<\/a> have been some of the best sneakers released thus far in 2023<\/a>. It may be an acquired taste with a unique “flavor profile”\u2014its color-blocking and palette is amorphous, in addition to its multi-material construction. Expounding on the concept of his collaborative 990v6, the rapper explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wanted to capture everything that makes us up as beings. The water, the waves, the energy. The energy in the copper. The energy that transfuses electricity into light \u2026 You can literally break down each color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe bottom\u2014the ocean\u2014water, which makes us up. Then it\u2019s the earth, the terra. Then you have another layer of the copper. That\u2019s the electricity that infuses everything that lies underneath the layers. Then you have the electricity in the sky\u2014that neon green, the lightning. Then you have the grey\u2014original New Balance structure and soul as something planetary, the moon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three new colorways that’ve surfaced follow the same MO. Featuring a construction of mesh, leather, and nubuck, dressed in an array of colors traversing through blue, neon green, orange, and grey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
