[Update 11 Sep 2023] Following a series of overseas installments, the Verdy x BLACKPINK “Born Pink” pop-up will now make its way back to South Korea. The event is slated to run from 14 to 17 September at 82, Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul. An American Express card member-exclusive graphic tee will also be made available for purchase during the period. Stay tuned for more possible updates on the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 16 August 2023] From the East Coast to the West, the Verdy x BLACKPINK “Born Pink” collection will now travel to Los Angeles for a weekend. Happening from 24 to 27 August, fans of either can head to 805 N. La Cienega Boulevard to cop the exclusive merch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 8 Aug 2023] Attention, blinks! Following the first drop in London, the Verdy x BLACKPINK “Born Pink” collection is set to see another pop-up release and this time, it will take place in New York from 9 to 12 August. [Update 30 Jun 2023] Following the announcement of the pop-up event in the last update, images of the limited-edition Verdy x BLACKPINK merch from it have surfaced. Check them out at the image gallery above!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 27 Jun 2023] BLACKPINK and Verdy’s first collection is now set to see a release, with the announcement of the “Born Pink” pop-up event that will take place in London, One Marylebone Road from 29 June to 1 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No product details have been revealed yet, but promotional images showcase Verdy’s iconic character design dressed in the K-Pop female group’s signature color and initials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is also said to be held in other regions, allowing more opportunities of purchasing the collaborative merch. Stay tuned to our magazine for more updates on the duo’s future works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Famed Japanese designer Verdy has been on an unrelenting journey this year. After being appointed as Coachella’s artist-in-residence<\/a> this year, he now joins forces with world-famous K-Pop group BLACKPINK as their new artistic director for the ongoing Born Pink world tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the news was unexpected, it’s not that surprising. Verdy has previously designed Born Pink merchandise for BLACKPINK, and were both present at the aforementioned Coachella festival this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not much news about their new partnership has been released just yet, but one thing’s for certain. According to a press release, Verdy will design an exclusive capsule collection for the K-Pop powerhouse. The statement reads: “Verdy will create a world that merges his distinct artistic touch with BLACKPINK\u2019s ultra feminine aesthetic”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his Instagram post<\/a>, Verdy showcased himself working on what looks like a new pink character lined up beside his iconic Vick creation. While there isn’t a name nor information about the new character, the fact that it’s pink<\/em> points towards it being specifically created for BLACKPINK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
