Rarely does anyone do monochromatic palettes quite like legacy Japanese label Mastermind. Herein, they engage again with Vans Vault, the skate brand’s high-end division, to produce a capsule collection that subsumes 5 footwear designs, along with an array of hoodies and interestingly, sleepwear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The footwear offerings include the Old Skool, Sk8-Hi, and Authentic. All the pairs feature the hallmark monochromatic color-blocking. Black engulfing the upper with white forming the sole unit, laces, and branding elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mastermind’s signatures are on full display especially on the two alternate designs of the Sk8-Hi and Old Skool. From the serrated lightning imprint on the midsoles, or the skeletal imprint of the brand. The singular Authentic arrives similarly in black with the aforementioned skull and bones logo running across from the midfoot of the midsoles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The motifs are reapplied on the apparel as well: a zip hoodie, a PJ set, and a nightgown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They’ll be available on NUBIAN’s website from 28 April, 10am, JST with an in-store release at 11am. Chances are, they’ll move along quickly so best to make a haste on D-Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
