    Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 550 “Convesations Amongst Us” is the latest collaboration model that focusing on inter-racial “conversations”!!<\/p>\n

    Joe Freshgoods is a Chicago-based designer who, while honoring history and tradition, “Makes the clothes he likes as he pleases, without regard to organization or structure.” After collaborating on New Balance 990 V3, he is selected as Creative Director of New Balance, Joe Freshgoods is leading “Convesations Amongst Us,” a project that celebrates African-American culture.<\/p>\n

    For his latest work with New Balance, he chose the “550,” a popular silhouette that pays homage to the basketball shoes of the 80s. The upper is a combination of canvas and long-legged suede, unified by a single tone of pastel yellow. The sides feature a three-dimensional “N” logo framed in navy, and the project’s name, “Convesations Amongst Us,” appears on the tongue and insole. With “NB” as its partner, which has over 100 years of history with its roots in the U.S., the spring colors are beautifully dyed, and also throw a wrench in the current racial issues that still prevail today.<\/p>\n
