[Update 21 Jun 2022] Clad in the signature colors of the Los Angeles Sparks, the Nike Dunk Low “Lisa Leslie” will be arriving next month, just in time for the 20th anniversary of Lisa Leslie’s historic dunk at the WNBA games. This pair of commemorative Dunk Lows features a mix of materials like leather and nylon, with Leslie’s number “9” embroidered at the tumbled leather heel.

    The NBA, the world’s most popular men’s professional basketball league, celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021. In the other hands, the WNBA, established in 1996 as a women’s version of the NBA, is held during the off-season for women’s leagues outside the U.S. Currently. 12 teams participate in the WNBA, with players from various countries playing.<\/p>\n

    This time, Nike Dunk celebrates former “WNBA Los Angeles Sparks” player “Lisa Leslie” who successfully dunked the first ever WNBA on July 30, 2002. The classic all-leather upper is teal with purple and gold, and green “swoosh” accents based on the Los Angeles Sparks’ team colors. The heel is embroidered with the number “9,” that is “Lisa Leslie”s number, and reminiscent of the Player’s Edition. This special pair is a tribute to the woman who has led the women’s basketball world, winning two season championships, three MVPs, four Olympic titles, and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.<\/p>\n
