1. About Nike Air Force 1 High OG “Vintage”

Air Force 1 High “Vintage” is standing by to pay homage to the 40-year-old original!

In 1982, designer Bruce Kilgore created the Air Force 1, the first basketball shoe with built-in Nike Air. The AF1 has become an indispensable masterpiece in sneaker culture and this year 2022 is 40th anniversary for this shoe. The original “Air Force 1” has mesh sides in the early years, called the “Air Force Zero” now. The design was also paid homage in other models such as the “20TH” in 2002, the 20th anniversary, and the “25TH” in 2007.

To celebrate the anniversary, the “Vintage” edition, inspired by the true original, is on standby. This new AF1 used “AF Zero” design. The color blocking is composed of a vintage-inspired off-white leather base with a gray Swoosh and outsole. The side panels are made of rough mesh for breathability, giving the shoe a touch of the original. The upper, on the other hand, has ventilation holes just like the current version, and the “orange tag,” a vintage Nike symbol, is used on the shoe’s tongue label, which expresses the evolution of the AF1 and celebrates its 40th anniversary milestone.
