PUMA Visits Bikini Bottom With Incoming SpongeBob SquarePants Collection
For the young and young at heart. For the older millennials and their offspring, probably.
PUMA has been a frequent collaborator of animated properties in the last handful of years, and none quite permeated the zeitgeist of a generation quite like SpongeBob SquarePants. Nickelodeon’s golden child as well, is no stranger to footwear collaborations as they have in the past worked with Nike and Vans. Today, their paths cross just in time for the imminent warmer months.
The collaboration subsumes a wide array of PUMA’s models, from classics like the Suede, contemporary designs like the Rider FV, to the beach apropos RS Slides—amongst other lifestyle silhouettes in the fray. Echoing the tones of the warmer months ahead, the color palette is a mix of vibrant tones from SpongeBob yellow, to Patrick pink and purple. All the models feature their own unique presentation of the motif but they’re all tied together through the co-branded tongue tag featuring the titular character.
They’ll be available from 17 March on PUMA with some models being App exclusives. Expect to find them with a price tag between US$20 to US$100. If you want to be summer-ready before anyone else is, cop a piece of the collection!
