Brain Dead Is Releasing Two Hardcore Wooden Clogs in Contrasting Fashion
The energy-absorbing, bulky wooden clogs are something you "wooden" want to miss.
Brain Dead’s aesthetic is often characterized as eclectic and surreal, with a focus on bold graphics, vibrant colors, and unexpected juxtapositions. The collective’s work has been featured in numerous galleries and exhibitions around the world, and their clothing and merchandise are sold in select stores globally. And now the streetwear label run by Kyle Ng is currently taking a step back and focusing on its core market to create two new pairs of clogs that are embellished with giraffe-inspired designs and one pair of earth-tone Energy Absorber Sand Clogs.
Starting with the aforementioned former, the bulky silhouette has previously been outfitted with rubber uppers and aluminum overlays, but this latest version makes a modest change in the materials used. A black leather toe cap completes the base, which is made of covert nylon fabric and accented with tonal giraffe designs. Black rivets complete the look of the chunky Vibram bottoms, which are designed in all-black. Similarly, the Energy Absorber Sand Clog stands out due to a mix of rubber and leather materials in addition to its striking earth tone hue.
In order to provide a comfortable and adaptable fit, the sandal also features adjustable straps. The heel straps are made in the band’s recognizable crinkled manner, and the footbeds are debossed with remixed Brain Dead foot logo.
The two may be seen in more detail in the gallery up top, and will be made available on 7 March through Brain Dead.
