[Update 1 Jun 2023] If you missed the release of the CLOT x fragment design x Nike Dunk Low “20th Anniversary” last month at JUICESTORE, fret not! The tripartite collaborative pair will be released on SNKRS on 14 June for US$150. Best be “lightning” fast!

[Update 9 May 2023] For those interested in copping the CLOT x fragment x Nike Dunk Low collection, it is slated to arrive globally via JUICE Store on 19 May. A Tokyo pop-up event is said to follow alongside a wider release after that. Retail prices will range from $87 to $176 for the items.

[Update 8 May 2023] Following a back shot of the t-shirt, more images of the CLOT x fragment apparel collection have now surfaced. Revealing a front panda logo print on the tee, a color-blocking hoodie with co-branded details has also been revealed. Take a look at the latest images as we await for official release details to be announced by the duo.

[Update 5 May 2023] Taking to Instagram, CLOT’s founder Edison Chen has shared images of a CLOT x fragment t-shirt, suggesting an apparel release alongside the collaborative Nike Dunk Low. No firm release date has been revealed yet, but expect the collection to arrive in mid May via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.

[Update 13 Apr 2023] @prvt.selection has taken the liberty to cut out the fabric overlay to reveal the base layer of the highly-anticipated pair. Therein sees the tripartite’s branding embroidery on the upper. CLOT’s on the mudguard, Nike’s below the eyestays, and fragment’s on the lateral heel. It definitely adds another dimension to the design if one’s able to artfully use a craft knife.

[Update 10 Apr 2023] Just a day ago, Hiroshi Fujiwara himself shared some new images of the titular pair. In addition! He also teased an accompanying t-shirt. The logo tee plays with negative space with a vector of a panda forming the C in CLOT. Although not ascertained in any official capacity, the design is derivative of WWF’s logo.

Interestingly, images from another source reveal branding hidden under the textile exterior. There’s no release date yet but with the Godfather of Streetwear himself teasing the pair, there’s reason to believe its making its way to the world.

[Update 10 Mar 2023] Let’s address the elephant in the room first: there’s no release date yet. But as a consolation, official images have arrived! Which also points that a release is more imminent than it were yesterday.

This new set provides various angular looks and at the same time a closeup of its finer toolings. There’s the crystal rubber outsole, the intricate patterns engulfing the upper, as well as the disparate branding on the heel counter.

But from the moment the tripartite collaboration was announced, bet you were already convinced you had to get it before any images even emerged. So, did the design live up your expectation?

[Update 2 Mar 2023] Just two days after news first broke on this possible three way collaboration, @jfgrails has released an early look of the upcoming CLOT x fragment x Nike Dunk Low.

From the early imagery, it seems like the trio drew inspiration from CLOT’s earlier Nike Air Force 1 “CLOT 1WORLD”. A similar layer of white silk seems to adorn the uppers of the Dunk Low, with black accents landing on the eyestays, tongue and inner lining.

It remains to be seen if the silk layer can be torn away like its Air Force 1 predecessor, but chances are a similar gilded pattern lies beneath. Notably, fragment’s logo is also missing from the leaked image, which once again points towards it being hidden beneath the silk layer.

It’s been four years since Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design and Edison Chen’s CLOT joined forces to create the silk-clothed Nike Air Force 1 Low. Not only was it a beauty, it was innovative too—the black silk layer could be torn away to reveal an intricate design underneath.

Those, along with G-Dragon’s PEACEMINUSONE x Nike Air Force 1 which released around the same time, formed one of the greatest release weeks for Nike. Until now, both pairs are highly regarded among the Air Force 1 lovers, marking a defining chapter for Asian designers and the Swoosh brand.

Fast forward to 2023, it seems like fragment design and CLOT are joining forces yet again to work on a Nike shoe. As with their selection back in 2019, it seems like the duo have chosen to work on a silhouette that’s central to the zeitgeist—the ubiquitous Nike Dunk Low.

While no concrete images of the pair has surfaced just yet, reliable insider @masterchefian  has provided small snippets of the three-way collaboration. On one image of what seems to be the heel of the Dunk Low, “FRGMT”—representing fragment design—looks to be embroidered on the spine.

A second photo shows the co-branding featured on the insoles of the shoes. fragment design’s infamous lightning bolt logo and a special CLOT 20th anniversary graphic take center stage within the Dunk Low. Both photos also seem to hint that the overall colorway might be a black and white iteration, a color scheme that works well for both brands and undoubtedly Nike as well.
