A new yellow/blue variation’s the two-tone Dunk of yesteryear is standing by!!

The “Nike Dunk” has been steadfastly popular for its color variations centered on the minimalist two-tone design of the original, and was released by Nike in 1985 for the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) men’s basketball league. At the time, white was the mainstream color for basketball shoes, but the bright color scheme, which incorporated the team colors of the powerful schools, made a big impact and changed the momentum. The Dunk’s identity has been carried over to the present day, and continues to inspire all generations with a varied lineup that draws attention in the fashion scene while following the colors of NBA and NCAA teams.

The new Dunk has fresh colors, that color is thought inspired from as “UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles)”, a prestigious university that has produced active NBA player Russel Westbrook and others, or the “Golden State Warriors”, which belongs to Stephen Curry. The two tones of deep and vivid blue and yellow are used to create a retro 80’s atmosphere that inherits the DNA that has been engraved in “Dunk”.
