The celebrations for 50 years of Hip-Hop continues with another pair of Nike Air Force 1 High “Classics”.
Following the Grammys dedicating a historic segment to commemorate hip-hop culture’s 50th anniversary, Nike has also unveiled a lineup of Nike “Classics” that includes a pair of Air Force 1 Low and a pair of Dunk High to honor the occasion.
The Nike Air Force 1 High “Classics” or “50 Years of Hip-Hop” arrives in the same retro design that nods towards records and cassettes. Atop a black tumbled leather upper, leather overlays in a washed-out “Smoke Grey” wrap around the shoe. The Nike Swoosh appears in white, adding some depth. The midsole sports a yellowed hue while the outsole is colored fully black.
On the tongue, the same cassette-inspired label with the text “50 Years of Hip-Hop” is featured; similarly, “Nike Classics” is printed on the insole in the style of Parental Advisory graphics. The mini golden mic charm that accompanies every pair of Nike “Classics” sneaker also returns, as one last nod to hip-hop.
This pair of Nike Air Force 1 High “Classics” is expected to arrive in Spring 2023 and has been tagged to a US$130 price tag. Stay tuned as official images and a release date should land soon.
